Addressing Food Waste in the Philippines
Our country faces significant food waste challenges, with approximately 2,000 tons of food waste generated daily in Metro Manila alone. Meanwhile, about 11.8% of Filipino families experience hunger. Despite this, most surplus food ends up in landfills rather than being redistributed.
